Building Manager
Reports to: Senior Minister & Property Chair
Status: Full-time
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Building Manager is responsible for maintaining the building, assisting in some setup/tear down,
light custodial work, coordinating needs with building tenets, and supervising the Building
Superintendent. This position is five days a week with one of those days required to be Sunday. Days
off are negotiated but must be flexible due to the church schedule.
The Building Manager answers/reports to the Senior Minister.

Volunteer
We are always looking for volunteers to help our with various aspects in the life of the church. All adults who work with children and youth are background checked every two years.
Volunteer Opportunities:

- Breakfast at the Bridge - on 5th Fridays a small group meets to serve breakfast at The Bridge downtown.
- Blessing Bags for Homeless - periodically throughout the year, we gather to make Blessing Bags. Members of our congregation keep them in their cars to handout to those who are unhoused in our community. These bags have water, shelf stable snacks, and other items such as chapstick or tissues.
- Community Fall Carnival - Every Fall near Halloween we host a community wide carnival with a petting zoo, face painting, games, and more! We always need people to help run stations.
- Community Easter Egg Hunt - The Saturday before Palm Sunday we host a community wide Easter Egg Hunt with a petting zoo, games, and egg hunt divided by ages. We always need help running the stations.
- Literacy Achieves - housed in our building, the ELM/East Dallas campus of Literacy Achieves offers free English Language Classes to anyone who needs them. Teachers are volunteers and sign up for one (or more) day a week in two hour time slots. Training is provided.
- Angel Tree - Every year at Christmas we adopt multiple families through our partner organizations to help them celebrate Christmas.
- Feast of Sharing - Put on by Central Market each Thanksgiving, this event brings together religious institutions, social service organiations, and more to proved Thanksgiving to the underserved population of Dallas. EDCC collects socks before the event and a small team attends to hand them out.
