East Dallas Christian Church is committed to serving our community. We live out this commitment through faithful use of our historic building, forming partnerships with organization that serve the community in meaningful ways. We also serve through a variety of seasonal events such as our annual Health Fair and Rise Against Hunger, as well as, supporting local and national organizations with our generosity.
Meet our Partners
We are proud partners with the Notre Dame School of Dallas's Star Young Adult Program.
The STAR Young Adult Program serves as an adult day-habilitation program to promote social, emotional, intellectual and independent growth by providing opportunities in the areas of science and cultural studies as well as a variety of other experiences off campus. The program focuses on development in time management, financial responsibility, daily living skills, independent decision making and teamwork. The STAR program sings in worship some Sundays and we love celebrating holidays together, with Easter Bunny & Santa visits. |
Cooking for the Crowd provides healthy, homemade meals full of love to other nonprofit charitable organizations at a fraction of the cost. This empowers and enables them to serve more, grow new programs and help more people.

Over 20 years ago East Dallas started an English Lanaguage ministry, which we combined with Literacy Achieves to better serve the needs of our students. East Dallas is the proud home of the offices and a learning location for Literacy Achieves, a partner dedicated to helping individuals English language literacy. In 2024-2025 Literacy Achieves, served more than 950 adults and 282 children, many of those came through the doors and experienced the warms and support of East Dallas Christian Church. Our members volunteer as teachers with Literacy Achieves.

We are proud to be the home of the Youth Support Center, a ministry of Juliette Fowler Communities. Youth Support Center provides counseling, coaching, mentorships, and life skills programming to help youth (both male and female) ages 12-24 to escape or avoid trafficking and exploitation. The Support Center provides transportation to pick up youth who would otherwise be unable to visit the center and houses closets full of clothes, emergency food and feminine products.

Family Compass is the largest nonprofit in North Texas solely dedicated to the mission of child abuse prevention with the primary purpose of keeping vulnerable children from entering the overburdened child welfare system. The agency enters the lives of vulnerable children at-risk for abuse, and provides their parents with in-home mentoring, education, support, and tools to aid them in becoming stronger, healthier families. Partnering with Family Compass, East Dallas hosts impactful community events focused on safety, support, and helping families start the school year strong.

Several times throughout the year we have the honor of hosting the Moncrief Mobile Mammogram unit, making women's health accessible to our neighbors in East Dallas. These events are free to women 40 years and older

In 2000, East Dallas Christian Church donated this State Historic Landmark to the community we serve. This 5-story building was once used as the Education Building for East Dallas Christian Church. It now serves as a rent-free resource to other non profit organizations. Current partners are: Family Compass, Youth Support Center for Juliette Fowler Communities, and Literacy Achieves Corporate offices. East Dallas Christian Church saw this as an opportunity to turn an aging building into a vital collaborative center for nonprofit agencies whose programs and services benefit our community.
