On November 28th at 7:30 pm, flutist Daniel Pardo and pianist Keith Critcher will present a recital of lighthearted classical pieces showcasing a variety of styles and melodies from opera themes, baroque adagios, to jazzy tunes, and modern repertoire. The program welcomes the whole family and admission is free.

EDCC presents Sing We Now of Christmas! Under the direction of Keith Critcher, the Chancel Choir and professional orchestra will perform a wonderful array of sacred and secular selections. Featured work is Magnificat by Jonathan Willcocks with Carelle Flores, soprano. Special guests: the outstanding Garland A Capella Choir, director Riley Worthen; and the soulful South Dallas Concert Choir, director Afrelynn Roberts. Other featured musicians: vocalist Quincy Roberts; concertmaster Lucas Aleman; Nikola Nino Rusevic, cello; Daniel Pardo, flute; David Cooper, horn; and Sonja Westberg, harp.

Our upcoming recital includes a wide variety of Italian, French, German, and English Arias and Art Songs: works of Bizet, Donizetti, Floyd, Hahn, Handel, Ibert, Massenet, Puccini, Schubert, Strauss, and Verdi; Broadway pieces from: Brigadoon, Chess, Les Miserables, & She Loves Me; and beautiful Sacred Song. Unfortunately, one of our Sopranos, Carelle Flores, will be out of town. However, we do have two guests, students at Texas Wesleyan University, who are graduating Seniors this semester: Chanel Hurd and Alan Michael Setford - beautiful singers with promising futures.

The program is 90 minutes, 2:00 - 3:30, that includes a pause with tea, water, Pirouline (biscuit/wafer cookies), and chocolates served. A delightful afternoon!

Our Chancel Choir is thrilled to join Voices of Fort Worth, Jerome Bierschenk conductor, in presenting Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requeim. Also on the program: music of Bach, Creston, Arnesen, Wilson, Finzi, a world premier harp solo by DeRosa, and the exquisite Howard Hanson’s Serenade for Flute, Harp, and Strings!
