Connecting With Our Neighborhood

East Dallas Christian Church is excited to be hosting a booth at the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, April 3-5, 2009. We will be spending the weekend with neighbors and guests, celebrating the diversity and culture of our neighborhood. Stop by the booth. We will be passing out wildflower seeds (a random act of beauty), information about upcoming worship services and free concerts, and dog treats (for our furry friends). Children are invited to take part in our shared art project and decorate a tree. On Sunday, in the midst of the Pooch Parade, we will offer pet blessings.

Pet Blessings

Here is the pet blessing we will offer our guests and their pets on Sunday: "Oh God of Creation, we give You thanks for this beloved pet and for the unconditional love he/she gives to her family. May he/she blessed in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen!"
